Sweets Christmas Tree Lesson

On the weekend a few days before Christmas, we will be holding a lesson to make a small Christmas tree, welcoming Kim Bo-gyeong from the flower shop JADE’R TOKYO in Yotsuya.

The lesson focuses on creating a well-balanced green base for the tree, then adorning it charmingly with small pink flowers and "Marui Vegan" sweets from Kurumaya. This arrangement can serve as a festive table centerpiece, a delightful gift, and after the festivities, it can be happily and deliciously eaten.

Kurumaya's "Marui Vegan" will also feature new flavors in December. You'll not only use them as materials for the arrangement but also get to taste them. Bo-gyeong, who will be teaching us this time, is from Korea. She has excellent taste and has even worked on floral arrangements for high-end brands. Her kind and gentle personality ensures that her lessons are very friendly and thorough, so even beginners can feel at ease participating. It's sure to be a relaxing time as you listen to stories about Christmas in Korea and more.

Instructor Profile


KIM  BO GYEONG  / Kim Bo-gyeong

Flower artist, space designer from Korea. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Scenography, Display and Fashion Design.
Her work focuses on discovering the essence of plants and maximizing their beauty.

She presides over the flower shop "JADE’R TOKYO" in Yotsuya, Tokyo. She handles a wide range of projects, from shop decorations to spatial design and brand displays.

Vegan Cafe Kurumaya

Kurumaya is an initiative that proposes ways of eating while considering coexistence with living beings.
We aim to provide enjoyable and delicious vegetarian dining opportunities, focusing on creating sweets that combine plant-based ingredients with spices containing various beneficial properties, as well as offering body-friendly catering and bento boxes made with vegetables, soy products, and seaweed.
And in 2028, as a new venture, we will launch a vegan cafe at the "PAN Okinawa" art center, where Okinawan vegetables will be served.

Currently, we sell baked goods called "Marui Vegan," made with unique Okinawan spices and teas, on the Kurumaya online shop. The packaging for our sweets is original artwork by Maria Farra, an artist based in London.



Venue

The workshop will be held in the gallery space of 7CHOME OTA FINE ARTS.
7CHOME consists of a viewing room and a project room, showcasing a wide range of artworks from two-dimensional pieces to site-specific installations.
Participants in the workshop will also have the opportunity to view artworks in the viewing room, which is normally not open to the public.
