Participants can learn about traditional dyeing techniques and experience spending time carefully engaging with the colors and shapes of \u003cem\u003eBingata\u003c\/em\u003e dyeing.\u003cspan lang=\"EN-US\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h5\u003e\n\u003ch5\u003eIn this workshop, you will use Ms. Omote's original stencils on plain handkerchief fabric and dye it with your favorite colors. Omote learned traditional dyeing and weaving techniques, including stencil dyeing and \u003cem\u003eRyukyu Bingata\u003c\/em\u003e, as her foundation. After graduating from university,\u0026nbsp;Omote\u0026nbsp;studied clothing design at Bunka Fashion College and moved into the field of textile design. Omote worked for the apparel brand, \u003cspan lang=\"EN-US\"\u003eminä perhonen,\u003c\/span\u003e for approximately \u003cspan lang=\"EN-US\"\u003e7\u003c\/span\u003e years, engaging in fabric creation and design based on hand-drawn designs.
